Handle has a built in stop. Thus it can swing up to 90 degrees. If doing historic restorations, this handle is an authentic design. These handles are strong however we do-not suggest picking up heavy pieces with them. Brass is a naturally soft metal, therefore when moving furniture, we recommend lifting it from underneath. Surface Mount
Determine mounting location
Mark then drill pilot holes at screw locations
Attach brass chest lift with four wood screws
