Why%20we%20want%20to%20keep%20Moms%20in%20Sports%3A%20The%20Inspiration%20for%20the%20Strong%20Athletic%20Mom%20Shirts%0D%0AStrong%20Athletic%20founder%20Nadia%20Kean%20created%20the%20first%20Strong%20Athletic%20Mom%20shirt%20in%202016%20as%20a%20way%20to%20pay%20homage%20to%20her%20mom%2C%20sister%20and%20friends%20who%20are%20moms.%20Nadia%20and%20her%20sister%20were%20raised%20by%20their%20Mom%20and%20have%20a%20lot%20of%20pride%20when%20it%20comes%20to%20Strong%20Mamas!%20Eventually%20Nadia's%20sister%20Lisa%20became%20a%20Mom%20and%20then%20one%20by%20one%20many%20of%20the%20best%20friends%20she%20grew%20up%20with%20also%20became%20parents.%0D%0AAs%20many%20of%20Nadia's%20friends%20became%20moms%2C%20they%20slowly%20started%20putting%20their%20hobbies%20and%20sports%20to%20the%20side%20so%20that%20they%20could%20prioritize%20their%20children.%20In%20most%20countries%20in%20the%20world%2C%20women%20are%20not%20expected%20to%20play%20sports%20past%20high%20school%20and%20college.%20If%20women%20do%20play%20sports%20beyond%20their%20early%2020s%2C%20it%20is%20not%20likely%20that%20they%20will%20make%20their%20income%20from%20playing%20sports.%20The%20same%20can%20not%20be%20said%20for%20men.%20Men%20are%20more%20likely%20to%20make%20a%20living%20playing%20sports%2C%20or%20if%20not%20making%20a%20living%2C%20playing%20on%20some%20type%20of%20sports%20team%20recreationally%20even%20into%20fatherhood.%20This%20means%20that%20a%20high%20number%20of%20children%20grow%20up%20watching%20dad%20play%20sports%2C%20but%20they%20don't%20see%20mom%20plays%20sports.%26nbsp%3B%0D%0APlaying%20sports%2C%20being%20on%20a%20team%20and%20being%20physically%20active%20and%20strong%20are%20important%20factors%20to%20a%20person's%20personal%20self%20image%20and%20self%20worth.%20It's%20important%20that%20women%20not%20only%20play%20sports%20and%20remain%20physically%20active%20into%20their%2020s%2C%2030s%2C%2040s%2C%2050s%2C%2060s%2C%20and%20beyond%2C%20but%20it's%20also%20important%20that%20children%20see%20women%20playing%20sports.%20Women%20and%20moms%20in%20athletics%20needs%20to%20be%20normalized.%20It%20should%20not%20be%20something%20that%20girls%20and%20women%20sometimes%20do%2C%20it%20needs%20to%20be%20something%20that%20is%20expected.%20There%20are%20still%20come%20countries%20in%20the%20world%20where%20a%20woman%20playing%20sports%20or%20doing%20something%20physically%20active%20is%20still%20considered%20a%20sign%20of%20defiance.%20For%20men%2C%20it%20is%20not%20the%20same.%20It%20is%20because%20of%20this%20that%20Strong%20Athletic%20wants%20to%20put%20women%20forward%20in%20sports.%20This%20is%20the%20exact%20reason%20that%20we%20want%20to%20support%20Moms%20in%20sports%20and%20athletics.%26nbsp%3B%0D%0ABeing%20a%20parent%20is%20highly%20romanticized%2C%20but%20it's%20not%20always%20a%20walk%20in%20the%20part.%20As%20we%20write%20this%2C%20it%20is%20April%202020%2C%20and%20the%20world%20is%20dealing%20with%20the%20most%20impactful%20pandemic%20in%20100%20years.%20How%20does%20this%20have%20to%20do%20with%20Motherhood%3F%20Many%20Moms%20are%20finding%20that%20not%20only%20can%20they%20no%20longer%20play%20their%20sport%20and%20see%20their%20teammates%2C%20but%20they%20are%20also%20isolated%20to%20staying%20at%20home.%20Many%20moms%20are%20working%20from%20home%20and%20also%20they%20are%20taking%20the%20role%20of%20teacher%20because%20schools%20are%20closed%20or%20the%20classroom%20has%20moved%20to%20being%20online.%20This%20means%20that%20many%20moms%20(and%20parents%20in%20general)%20are%20taking%20on%20responsibilities%20that%20they've%20never%20had%20to%20do%20before%2C%20such%20as%20being%20the%20key%20teacher%20for%20their%20child%2C%20while%20also%20juggling%20full%20time%20jobs.%20It%20takes%20a%20dedicated%20parent%2C%20with%20a%20lot%20of%20love%20to%20do%20all%20of%20the%20jobs%20they%20are%20now%20responsible%20for%2C%20and%20it's%20no%20wonder%20that%20things%20parents%20used%20to%20do%20for%20theirselves%2C%20such%20as%20playing%20sports%20and%20participating%20in%20athletics%20has%20had%20to%20go%20to%20the%20wayside.%26nbsp%3B%0D%0AAre%20you%20a%20parent%2C%20but%20not%20a%20mom%3F%20Perhaps%20you're%20a%20dad%20or%20you're%20a%20nonbinary%20parent%20and%20don't%20identify%20with%20the%20word%20Mom%3F%20Keep%20your%20eyes%20out%20for%20announcements%20about%20the%20release%20of%20our%20Strong%20Athletic%20Dad%20and%20our%20Strong%20Athletic%20Parent%20shirts!%26nbsp%3B%0D%0AThe%20Strong%20Athletic%20Mom%20Flowy%20Muscle%20Tank%20Mauve%20Fabric%20with%20Black%20Ink%0D%0AThe%20Bella%20Canvas%20Flowy%20Muscle%20Tank%2C%20style%20number%208803%2C%20is%20the%20most%20popular%20style%20of%20tank%20top%20that%20we%20have%20carried.%20This%20tank%20is%20not%20designed%20to%20be%20clingy%2C%20but%20rather%20flowy.%20The%20tank%20billows%20a%20bit%20as%20you%20go%20down%20the%20fabric%20toward%20the%20lower%20hem.%20The%20arm%20holes%20of%20this%20shirt%20are%20larger%20than%20a%20traditional%20tank%20top-%20wh
