This is an original German A1 movie poster from the 1980s for a theatrical re-release of 2001: A Space Odyssey. The science fiction classic stars Gary Lockwood, Keir Dullea, William Sylvester, Daniel Richter, Leonard Rossiter, Robert Beatty and Douglas Rain. Stanley Kubrick directed the film. Bob McCall is the artist for the poster. The poster measures 23” x 33” and is in very good condition with pinholes in the corners from theatrical display. It was folded at the time of printing. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters. The poster has some fold and edge wear from handling.
